Belief was that Mateen had a bomb vest and would kill more people. He had stated as much. If there were deaths from friendly fire after knocking a hole in the wall, it meant fewer people were killed than would have been the case with the alternative. I’m no automatic fan of police action and question their waiting three hours, but they did what they had to do at the time.

Agreed. The speed of the autopsies was mind-boggling; those bodies had to be riddled with bullets.
I’m sure there will be a ton of lawsuits filed against the Orlando police in the future...with or without just cause, of course.
