You forgot to mention the house as well.

I think his dad was tossing him at least a thousand a month for the lifestyle he was living. Dad paid for the house as far as I can see. I think the bigger question is where dad makes his money.

Mid-east corruption.

These people are the orginal cheating rug merchants and they have gobs of cash because of it.

They bribe the local nationals in the US Embassy in their country to get visas and such to get to the US.

Yes, we have host nation nationals accounting for about half of the employees in the US Embassy, too include security (stopping and interrogating why you are there and who do you want to see).

To get things done in a US Embassy requires working the corruption within, and local nationals know that game the best and they pay huge sums of money.
