Obama wants to be a tyrant, beyond any doubt. But there’s this pesky obstacle known as the Constitution, which he has often criticized for limiting his powers.

This isn’t UK or Oz, thank God. Their heads of state can ram through legislation and make guns illegal with the stroke of a pen (Margaret Thatcher did this, I’m sorry to say). Then send the police to round up already registered guns & arrest those owners who fail to comply.

Parliamentary government is often called “dictatorship interrupted by elections”.

Doesn’t work that way this side of the pond. Barky can proclaim martial law (and set off a civil war) but other than that drastic possibility, his hands are tied.

Hillary has already warned him not to do anything that she will have to defend as she campaigns.
