Orlando’s Pulse nightclub terror attack will go down in U.S. history as the single largest case of mass slaughter ever conducted by a lone gunman in the nation’s 240-year history. Barack Obama’s shameful but predictable response to the carnage can best be characterized as deceitful spin involving a two-part strategy of obfuscation.
The first part involves deflection. Divert America’s attention from the main culprit – Islamic terrorism – to forwarding dual strawman/red herring arguments designed to confuse and mislead. By doing so, he hoped to draw America’s attention away from his own flawed foreign and domestic policies which enabled the ISIS-inspired Muslim terrorist to commit mass slaughter.
Obama cleverly but disingenuously framed the issue as a gun control matter, cynically exploiting the tragedy to advance his agenda for further eroding Second Amendment rights. In his eyes, it was the AR-15 sporting rifle (which turned out not to be the gun that was actually employed) and the National Rifle Association that bore direct responsibility for the killings. He then referred to the carnage as a “hate crime” directed against the gay community, completely glossing over the central role played by a malevolent political ideology that seeks to dominate and impose Sharia law on the West.

Behavioral Sciences and psychology are dismissed by our side while being USED by the other side. Psychology is not just “counseling” or some frivolous study. It is a weapon when used in certain ways to strategically position image, words, feelings of large groups of people.
Trayvon Martin becomes a cause, the Gentle Giant is on everyone’s lips, but Kate Steinle killed by an illegal in San Francisco??? Well, “things happen.” Benghazi? “Well, so long ago”, etc.
We had better start paying attention to this stuff and grab the language, stop using their terms, stop giving into their demands, stop apologizing for offending them, stop changing team names and acting as if their complaints are real when they are not.
All of it is connected and goes back to manipulation of public opinion. These tools are available to us as well. Reframe arguments, never let anything go just to be popular.
I believe there is a lot of this type of “science” being used in social media to manipulate us. I was talking to a guy that helps out in Haiti. He said you can be in some mountain village with no electricity (except generators for a few hours), no water, no septic, etc. - but everyone has great cell-phone coverage.
He thinks it is how the government can control what the people see and hear. Although it would seem to me that the better communication would expose the truth. Unless the messages can be controlled.

I seem to recall when that whole dentist and the lion thing was going on that there was something else in the news that got a minor mention and then quickly forgotten.
ISIS child sex slaves, babies sold as food/ritual in Thailand - something awful like that. But the social media was all about the lion.
