Lewandowski was criticized for several missteps, including the Trump campaign’s slow start to secure party delegates on the ground at state and local conventions, a strategy at which Ted Cruz excelled. Lewandowski also apparently burnt bridges with many of the reporters covering Trump’s campaign as well as RNC insiders. Back in April Trump was reportedly angry at how campaign operatives led by Lewandowski were slow to protect his delegates from Cruz too. I guess we will find out in time?
That’s pretty thin ice to clam malfeasance. More likely is he just doesn’t have the chops to be a major campaign manager for a national candidate.
