Now, ESPN has decided to reward MUs football team for its acts. The sports network announced Friday that the 2015 team will be collectively honored at its second annual Sports Humanitarian of the Year awards, which are held in tandem with the ESPY awards. During the July 12 show in Los Angeles, the team will be given the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE award, named in honor of the ESPN anchor who died of cancer last year. The award celebrates someone that has taken risk and used an innovative approach to helping the disadvantaged through the power of sports, ESPN said in a statement.

The school should have said play or else and fired the coach.
This move puts every athletic program in the country at the whim of race hustlers.
Wow. ESPN totally in the leftard category. I simply watch the games I want to watch and nothing more. No commentary and no other shows.
ESPN is not a sports station. It is a dem. surrogate with some sports tossed in. They fire anyone who will not go along with this setup, like Curt Schilling.
The left owns media. They were never content with just owning the news, or the movies, or television shows. They knew conservatives retreated to their last refuge, sports. So, they had to have that too.
Look at the last five years or so—armed forces have to PAY to be “honored” by NFL. So many ribbons for various causes you can’t see the uniforms. Pink shoes. MLB teams and players forced to do community outreach b.s. Fathers Day program, aided by a couple of NFL quarterbacks, now requires an insulting pledge by men “not to abuse their wives.” SERIOUSLY?? Constant pressure to change team names and mascots. Concussion movie coincides with massive lawsuit against NFL. NASCAR even beginning to be coopted—didn’t they just refuse to let patrons enter races with confederate flag stuff?
The list is far longer than this, of course.
Enrollment and alumni contributions are down at Missouri. The university has lost millions of dollars because of Black Lives Matter. The successful football coach ended up quitting because of “health reasons” after the BLM strike.
Yeah, good job Mizzou Football Team and all the other BLM people. You really made a mess of things but you can have a ESPN award just like Catlin/Bruce Jenner.
I hate ESPN.
I will not watch espn.
On the other hand, I have never listened to ESPN. I will watch an event but with sound muted. I will not patronize any of their sponsors either.
I hate to think of taxpayers paying for this stuff.
ESPN cannot tell the difference between girls and boys. So this award means nothing.
