Brit-boy Fume Hume having an orgasm over this.

Actually, this was highly predictable. You can only have one manager, and Manafort has been it for a couple of months. My guess is that Lewandowski just wasn’t happy taking orders from Manafort.

So Manfort the experienced hand is responsible for the last two months? Maybe Trump parted ways with the wrong guy.

I don’t see this as Lewandowski getting fired. This is Lewandowski having done what was in the area of his expertise and having completed that, it’s now time to move on.

Worth repeating since it is 110% accurate. You typed almost the exact words I planned to post.

The fools in the media will be making a huge deal out of this. It’s likely due to Lewandowski not being up to handling the campaign at this stage of the game. Manafort is the pro and Trump has had time see if they can work together. I’ll be curious to see if Lewandowski still has a role.

reading the gossip it sounds like lewandowski was just not going to accept being part of manaforts team and tone down his “in yo face” style toward the press corps ( even though they deserve it).....he got trump to the end stages of the primaries and that was good. I hope they operated on good terms

Hume has a stick up his a$$ for Trump. For the 8000th time yesterday on Fox News he emphasized the damage done by Trump and the attack on the Mexican judge. Although old news, Hume obviously wants to maximize the damage, if any, to Donald. Hume is just a bitter old man.

It is quite possible this is a Roger Stone-style firing.

We know that Trump operates on a trust basis with his team and, having spent almost everyday for a year with Corey, they surely have a strong, trust-based relationship.

Knowing how Trump operates, Lewandowski might be tasked with going outside campaign to sniff out what the #nevertrump crowd are planning for the convention.

On the other hand, it is possible, I guess, that Corey's usefulness had expired right before the convention.

Lewandowski has always been on the side of “let Trump be Trump.” That got him in trouble last time.

Manafort is on the side of a disciplined, traditional presentation.

My sense is that the universal hatred expressed toward Trump by ALL sides demonstrates conclusively that Trump truly is and always has been the only non-establishment, outsider candidate.

He scares the bejeebers out of the establishment.

The vote this fall is between the corrupt establishment of enriched politicians and crony leeches OR Donald Trump, the outsider.

That is what appears actually to be the case, and that is what I think is the winning background understanding that America MUST see.

He was basically demoted a month ago. Fox News, especially the snarky Britt Hume declared Trump’s run in shambles. The same thing he’s doing today. MacCallum is also a worthless hack. She needs to be on MSNBC.

Ivanka had given the campaign plenty of warning. She wants her father to act more dignified...more intelligent..and stop the “letting Trump be Trump” which was Corey’s trademark in the campaign. The seventy per cent negative in popularity was the last straw for her. She told the campaign if he stayed, she would no longer help the campaign. Her father very much values her advice...hence, his departure.
