If you used the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994....it went and identified models by name, and then had this odd add-on:
If you had a weapon which had two (any particular two) of these items below and accepting detachable magazines....you were banned:
- Folding or telescoping stock
- Pistol grip
- Bayonet mount
- Flash suppressor, or threaded barrel designed to accommodate a launcher mount
As long as you only had one of these features....you were OK.
Oh, I remember too well. At the time we joked about the rash of bayonet murders. There had never been one.

Did that mean you had to turn it in to the government?
