No, I don’t consider myself to be a Christian. I am a person who believes in Jesus Christ strongly. I believe He saved my life when I prayed to Him and asked Him to. But I am also a person who is suspicious of religion and what its purposes are.

However, I also believe that Christians, generally speaking, are better people than myself.

When I look at my life and its contents and compare it to that of Christians that I know, I’m obviously the one that keeps coming up short somehow or battling with demons or just generally not understanding things properly.

As far as those things I posted in this thread, I have asked Jesus to forgive me for how stupid I’ve been. I don’t know if He will. Maybe I’m going to go to Hell, I don’t know.

Whatever the case, I’m trying to do what is good now to make up for what I’ve done before.

But one thing I cannot deny is that there was a person who was supposed to be here, and that person is not here because of me. That is my dishonor to carry.

Chris,

A Christian is someone who believes the words of Jesus Christ.

Here is verse I find comforting:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. 1 John 1:9

From what you posted, that is exactly what you did.
