I bought mine two days ago. I'd have walked out of the store with it, but mine has to be special ordered for a left handed model. They're gonna build it from scratch. It set me back $1399 not including the green dot sight I want and ammo. I have to wait 4-6 weeks but I can't wait. I'm sure though, it'll sadly fall into a large body of water on my way back home, much like I lost all my handguns in another tragic boating accident about a year or so ago. It was so sad..:( Although I don't have it physically with me, this is what I bought.

See above, I have the right-handed model of that same AR-15. You will LOVE it!
Rock River Arms makes a flawless AR-15. Very pleased with mine. Thousands of rounds of ammunition through it, not a single jam. Note: you void the warranty if you use re-manufactured or re-load rounds in it. To me it's not worth the risk.
Congratulations on your purchase!

Very cool! I’m a southpaw as well. My first AR was the original Colt CAR-15, not even an A1. It didn’t have that little nub (case deflector) on the receiver.
Being that I wear glasses, every time a case would eject, it would hit the frame of my glasses, which was somewhat distracting.
The stock was also too short for me, and it required a sight adjustment tool, which was something of a pain.

Nice gun! I am a south paw as well. I just deal with it (and pray I don’t get hit in the eye).
I just picked up a Barrett REC 7 Gen 2 DI .. 5.56. It appears to be a nice one but the packaging was presented in a cheap cardboard box. You guys can do better than that..
