It appears San Fran Nan is not as stupid as she looks or Gretchen Carlson is.

The fear of the gun owning crowd is real and now some of their core constituents are starting to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights will be alienated by such policies.

Well, Gretchen just went off my watch list. We keep reading all this crap about assault rifles and I keep wondering why these people use rifles for close up shooting against unarmed victims. Seems to me a couple of hi cap pistols with a goodly supply of loaded magazines would be easier to conceal and wield ala Virginia Tech. And what about shotguns? You can create far more damage per shot.

I know a lot of people who own AR-15 style guns. The vast majority are either retired military or government law enforcement officers. They purchase these guns to retain skills and simply enjoy occasional target shooting with a light recoil bullet. I have no objection to their ownership and actually feel safer knowing that these guns are available should the need arise. As a side note, I love the Swiss concept of civilian-soldiers keeping automatic weapons in their homes. Don’t see many riots or home invasions there, do you?
