I think he is raising LOTS of money.
At the beginning of the speech he talked about there being more Republican support than anyone knows. Says the press put the few loud mouths who are not supportive front and center. Then when mentioning fund raisers in Texas he says, the Republicans are starting to like him a lot..I mean a lot he says.
