I have seen some fairly sophisticated homemade guns. I could be a blank firing gun that was converted, or a multi-barrel muzzle loader.

I made a 4 barrel muzzleloader from hardware store parts in 1984, for about $12. Four shots in five seconds. .45 caliber, electrically fired. Legal, as it was a muzzleloader.

A skilled machinist can make guns just fine. For decades, Afghans have been making their own AK clones using equipment inferior to what I can buy at my local Sears.
