It seems unlikely that he used a revolver if what this article says is correct:

"Police arrested a 52-year-old former psychiatric patient named locally as Tommy Mair. According to witnesses, Mrs Cox’s killer used either an antique or a home-made gun which he calmly reloaded between shots. As she lay bleeding to death, he repeatedly kicked her before walking away, having stabbed a 77-year-old man who tried to intervene."

Let's hope it wasn't an antique pistol because otherwise the UK is likely to have yet another round of useless gun control laws which will confiscate some very valuable and historically important antique firearms from private collectors.

The source is SPLC so they might very well be lying, but they claim the shooter was a long time supporter of US neo-nazi group National Alliance and had purchased a manual that included instructions for building pistols from them.
