Orlando victims were just people going out to socialize, drink, and try to hook-up with people.
They were not planning on a battle that night, against unknown assailants, with unknown capabilities.
Most were likely looking to run AWAY and find a fire exit, service door, or other path away from the danger.

One guy said that there was a five minute pause in the shooting and they hoped that the cops had gotten the guy but their hopes were dashed when he started firing again.
