In an effort to “stop mass killings by violent terrorists,” Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee proposed a bill that would require patrons undergo a criminal background check before obtaining “a large capacity ammunition feeding device” or a “semiautomatic assault weapon.”
According to the bill, the measure would amend federal law to prohibit the transfer “until the Attorney General has verified that the prospective transferee has truthfully answered questions about whether the prospective transferee has been contacted recently by Federal law enforcement authorities.

and the problem is you and the other law abiding citizens of MA are the only ones that will follow that law. That is the crazy thing about all of these laws, the libs and dems somehow think an islamic terrorist or person intent on mass killing will follow that law. The other problem with these proposed “assault weapons” bans; it is relatively easy to modify hand guns, rifles, magazines, etc into anything you want. A law will not stop that.

Intelligence tests for Congress should be attached to that bill.

That is the limit for center-fire semi-auto rifles.
For pistols it is ten. However, it is legal to put 13 9mm in a .40 magazine. Go figure.
