I wiped my old 2 and now use it for Tv in the kitchen where I don’t have cable. Works like a charm while my newer iPad goes with me everywhere.

The problem with the iPad 2 is the combination of a very slow (by modern standards) A5 system on a chip CPU/GPU and only 512 MB of RAM. As such, it's a bit of a laggard running iOS 9.3.2; the iPad Air I have now running iOS 9.3.2 with no problems, though I am thinking about finally replacing it with the iPad model coming out in early November 2017.
