I guess he lost half his audience when one of them turned off his radio.
The other listener had bad reception on their wireless due to a weak tube filament. As soon as they take the tube down to the tube tester at Radio Shack they can get the radio up and running and Hugh Horatio Hornblower’s ratings may go back up a little. ;-)
