I will consider your concerns over party loyalty a lot more sympathetically when when Trump and his supporters apologize for insinuating that Raphael Cruz is somehow complicit in the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the most recent example of which occurred even on this very thread.
I would not blame Ted Cruz for an instant if he declines to publicly support Donald Trump if Trump fails to apologize because every such commitment to support the nominee carries with it an implied condition that the nominee behave within civilized norms.
Cruz gave his word, and it was not contingent on Trump’s behavior.
Party loyalty and unification has nothing to do with this...Cruz should honor his word and pledge for the good of the country!!
I have discovered Cruz supporters have a million reasons to excuse Cruz’s lack of honor.
I have given up on all of them. God will eventually unmask Cruz to the point that even his true believers will see what a dishonorable liar he is.
The primary was a two way brawl. Sadly, Cruz supporters refuse to admit that fact. Cruz gave as good as he got. As a Trump supporter I’m more than willing to forgive his slurs and dirty tricks in the name of party unity.
Cruz is a very divisive force. His primary exit day tantrum intentionally poisoned the well for Trump and he certainly deserves ever bit of criticism he gets for his selfish behavior since then.
Moreover, at the time that commitment was made by Cruz, Trump had not yet reciprocated and committed himself, therefore it was not binding on Cruz. Trump cannot hold Cruz to a promise he has not made and only made as and when the wind blows fair for Trump to make the same promise.
Cruz was not bound at the time, he is not bound now, and even if he ever was committed, he was relieved of it by one of the most despicable lies in American politics.
Glad I don’t have business dealings with you. Sorry I vehemently disagree.
Thank you and agreed!
If you take time to reflect, I am quite sure you do not want to get into that discussion concerning your candidate.
Those who have had business dealings with me, and I might add with Ted Cruz, have managed them and managed to stay out of court.
If we lose this year, Cruz isn’t going to save us in 2020. Nobody will.
Poor Teddy Bares. Always ready to defend the LOSER with slurs and innuendos. Lack of integrity seems to loom large with these self-possessed poseurs.
Ted Cruz is a sleazy lying losing lawyer. He has been exposed and most of us who supported him gave up on him after seeing his true self. It amazes me that so many are willing to overlook his lies and falsity, in the supposed name of "conservatism". Teddy is not as he wants to be perceived. He is a weasel, as you can determine by listening to him.
I have been in court many times, as a business man. Ted has been in court representing business people, including Chinese who stole secrets and were found liable. Teddy want to get the award thrown on appeal, and LOST. Teddy represented Big Pharma, also trying to overturn awards when those company were found to be guilty. Teddy lost more.
I feel sorry for Teddy Bares. They misrepresent themselves as conservatives and hope that Hillary will win so Teddy has another chance to run for POTUS. He will likely never win another Senate race in Texas, much less be able to make a case for another run for POTUS. But, the globalists still will try to foist him on unsuspecting, self-proclaimed "conservatives".
Poor Tedy Bares. They love to lOSE!
Cutting to the chase, it is you, sir Nathan Beford, that must be wrong, for Donald J. Trump to be right.
And, as such, that is simply not acceptable, nor anywhere in the realm of possibilities, no?
They should be spending their time getting Trump elected. Hillary will legalizing 50 million new citizens and once done, conservatives won’t win anything higher than a dog catcher.
California was the test case for mass legalization and the Republican party can’t even get enough votes to a run a senator in this state. The same will happen in every state in the union.
They'll be spending their time -- and their money -- getting Trump elected, as well.
In the meantime, the future of the conservative movement is also an important priority.
Too bad you just don’t seem to get it...
It is not about my candidate’s actions or me...It is about the Vow, the Pledge the Word that Ted Cruz (especially as a born-again Christian) publicly gave to support the nominee—regardless of who it was or what they did or said. Cruz vow was not a contract contingent on Trump’s behavior—it was a blanket vow to support the nominee. Period.
Sadly, Cruz just thought nominee would be him, and since it is not and he is angry with Trump, he feels he is no longer bound by his word. As I said, honor, pledges, and vows don’t work that way. I have had dealings with people who upset me tremendously and have seriously wronged me, but if I agreed to do something and made a promise, a vow, I do it. It is not about their behavior, it is about mine...My word binds me.
For all the wrongs you feel were conducted against your candidate, Trump supporters feel the same way about Cruz, and I would be happy to list off the Trump supporter grievances at a later date—they are plentiful and recorded here over the length of the campaign.
However, for the fourth time, it is not about Trump’s behavior...IF Cruz gave his word, he needs to honor it. Period.
If Cruz were the candidate, you all would be beseeching Trump supporters to put aside pride, hurt feelings, etc. and HONOR THE PLEDGE and VOte for the nominee. What is good for goose is good for gander, so this stubborn pride stuff has to stop. A #NeverTrump vote is tantamount to an #EverHillary vote with a radical Supreme Court.
The future of the country is at stake, and Cruz and his remaining supporters need to suck it up and endorse the nominee who won on the BALLOT with a record number of votes.
If the Dems win in 2016, there will be no 2020 GOP victory, and there will not be another opportunity for GOP for decades.
decency can expect a political candidate to robotlike fulfill a political promise made to a third-party in the teeth of that outrage.
Moreover, at the time that commitment was made by Cruz, Trump had not yet reciprocated and committed himself, therefore it was not binding on Cruz. Trump cannot hold Cruz to a promise he has not made and only made as and when the wind blows fair for Trump to make the same promise.
Cruz made the pledge with no contingencies to not only the GOP, but to the nation on National TV.
For the FIFTH TIME, His pledge has nothing to do with Trump’s actions...it was his pledge for his action...Again, would not want to do business with you or Cruz if this is your stance.
One thing Ted Cruz assuredly is not is a lawyer who habitually loses. His record before the Supreme Court is phenomenally successful.
I have read post after post which claims that Ted Cruz has lied but I have yet to see one particular example. If you're not busy this morning perhaps you might indulge me with an example not grounded in opinion but in provable fact.
If you are ignorant enough to ascribe to the advocate the sins of the litigant, I doubt you are in fact the businessman who has appeared in court that you purport to be.
The rest of your reply, including the animation, is utterly childish.
You might consider how you're going to convince anyone that you are adding to Trump's vote count with these antics.
The game is not played that way. In any event, if Trump had betrayed himself as a traitor after making the pledge, certainly Cruz would be relieved. The principle stands, the pledge is conditioned on civil behavior by the nominee. Do you expect the Democrats to continue to support Hillary if she is indicted? Of course not, even among Democrats the behavior of the nominee relieves the pledgee.
I can think of no more egregious a lie American politics in the last twenty-five years than the insinuation of culpability in murder of a fallen President and that includes false allegations of serial adultery made by the same candidate.
I have been in US District Court four times as a Plaintiff. I did not hire a lawyer, and represented myself, pro se. I won four times, including against the Attorney General of WV representing Joe Manchin and the State of WV.
I don't need to prove myself to you. The ignorance in your posts is enough for all to see... along with the arrogance. If you can't see the lies from Teddy Bare, you must be deaf and blind...
The gif was not designed to persuade, just to illustrate...
As always, plenty of childish antics and visuals but no provable lies. Rather the Goebbel’s playbook: repeat and repeat and repeat.
