Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best he is a tolerable sub-human who has learned to wear shoes, bathe, and not make messes in the house.

OK, so tell me honestly, without reference, "What is the sine of forty five degrees?" Exactly. I.e. not as an approximate decimal. Do you know it? I hope so, considering your aggressive statement.

BTW, I have posed this question before on this forum, as I have settled on it as a shibboleth to determine the members of the mathematical tribe ... all in good humor, of course.

Phillip K Dick wrote a story to challenge the idea of abortion. It said that children were not considered fully human until they had the intellectual ability to solve algebra / 8th grade math.
Practical application - parents could have kids killed or given up to the state to put down if no one adopted them up to middle school age. And you could kill the retarded and brain damaged who never achieved the level.
A man tried to challenge it by saying he forgot his math skills, hence the story.
