I bet that most Americans couldn't tell the difference between a Somali and ANY other black African.
Of course, unless the guy was wearing a t-shirt that said: Somali.
We saw the Somalis when we went to Kenya years ago. They are DIRT POOR and have NO SAY whatsoever in who leads them. The ARMY is in control of the country, with the standard despot taking all he can for himself, his family and his chosen few friends...generals included.
Somalia makes many places, like southeast Asia and central Africa look pretty good.

The odd characteristic I notice that identifies men as Somali is that they are very fine boned with tiny hands. Weird but they are about 20% of the population here so I see many-mostly working at Walmart.
