I want to see Trump come out swinging against little Ryan. Why is he holding back this time? Is Ryan trying to egg him on or what? Would love to see Trump tear into him but then Trump is a good negotiator so I’ll just wait to see what he does but this seems to call for a counterpunch.
I think the GOPe stalwarts led by Ryan & McConnell are trying to goad Trump into lashing out at them. Should they succeed in doing so, it will add to the narrative of “he’s not qualified, he doesn’t have the temperament”, “he won’t be able to get along with even his own party”. This makes them look studious & dignified and Trump like the reactive hothead.
I can only hope Trump is acquiring better and better “staff” and advisors, because he’s being conspired against by literally everyone else.
