Just last week there were a lot of people here defending Facebook like their lives depended on it. There is nothing good about it. People who say they need it to keep in touch with family should stop being lazy and use email. People who use it to brag about their children’s accomplishments are attention seekers leaving a trail for identity thieves and pedophiles. No matter who you found from your past, it could have been done without betraying your privacy to a socialist Obama loving organization. No good can come of it. Though I’m sure I will be told differently in short order.

The only information on there is the information you put on there. A lot of people don’t check email anymore. Social Media is the primary means of communication.

You are absolutely correct. I hate fb, don’t use it, won’t use it and have found other ways to track down family/friends to get and stay in touch.

I block their preinstalled garbage apps from my electronics in addition to their cookies and spy icons. Same with google which is even worse.

Baloney. I love Facebook. It is how I keep up with hundreds of friends and relatives. It is how my cousin's wife let hundreds of people know she has breast cancer and will have surgery this week. Do you know how much time emails would take? It is how I learn about deaths, new babies, family news, etc. I get a lot if conservative news. FB is what a person makes it. If you do not like it, do not use it I have never had any problem posting.
