Actually Omar Mateen had in the past expressed strong anti-gay views. The club was a specific target. Also no indication yet that he was acting on anybody’s orders or directions - he was most likely self-radicalized, not taking orders from Isis central. In lighting the Eiffel Tower with the rainbow flag the French are expressing sympathy to a community that has suffered a loss. These were brothers, sons, friends. For fifty dead there are thousands grieving. At a time like this I think we can all tone it down and have a heart.

The Prophet Mohammed, Allah, the Koran and Haddith, as well as local Imman instructing Allah wills killing homosexuals.
Besides, he called 911 and devoted the bloodbath to ISIS.
