There were 320 people in the place with multiple rooms/sections to the club. Police (an off duty cop doing club security, and 2 others nearby) engaged him in a gun battle even before he got inside, at the front door, but he shot his way in and they didn’t follow him in. A bouncer had to break through an interior partition wall to help people escape out the back door.
Nothing against the LEO's on the scene, but what is the protocols that prevented them from going in? I didn't know about the bouncer, maybe hero could be a word to describe him.
