Why should we expect any other method to be utilized?
After all, Mohammed was the perfect man, and he extended the house of islam via the sword FRom 623 AD until his death in 632 AD. He was successful, ergo, his methods are still used.
We are either to be converted or put to the sword.
In Islam, there is no other choice.
