Perhaps. But Trump needs their money. He is way behind Hillary in raising money for his campaign. Trump has already said that the republican party is going to have to be the one to spend the money on his get out the vote effort because he doesn't have the money to spend.

So, now that we know Trump won't fund his own general election, he needs their cooperation. They may be losers, but Trump needs them.

If I was Trump, I would want to control my own get the vote out effort, since it is crucial. Trump seems ok to turn it over to the GOPe, but that would not make me feel too comfortable about that.
