She is an open borders stooge....and obviously a liberal idiot to boot. Comparing Whitman to Brown is like comparing the pros and cons of gonorrhea and syphillis.

That was the primaries.

As far as the general goes, Trump knows the GOPe will not willingly fund him. He has to expose them and keep them vulnerable.

Leverage.

Gentle persuasion ain’t gonna do it, one might say.

Money will never be an issue for the Trump campaign.

Trump has already said it is. Trump is not going to self fund the rest of his campaign and he has started attending fundraisers to raise money from the rich. Trump has said that he will not be able to fund his own get out the vote infrastructure and that the republican national committee will have that responsibility.

Trump doesn't have enough cash on hand to fund his own campaign anymore and he would need to sell something which he is not willing to do. His own financial documents show he has about $300 million in cash, but the general election campaign will cost about $1 billion.

Trump has already said that he will not be able to run hardly any commercials until later in the campaign...(I wonder what later means).

Anyway, the bottom line is that in the last few weeks Trump has begun to assemble a fundraising team. The ones watching from the sideline comment that it is starting a bit late and Trump may be able to raise only $500 million, but that could be enough if everything goes his way. Hillary is going to spend over $1 billion.

As we have seen, money isn't everything. So with Trump responsible for raising money for ads and the RNC responsible for getting out the vote, he may have enough money.

The original (mis)quote

“How can he have won? Nobody I know voted for him.”

goes back much further, allegedly uttered by Pauline Kael (The New Yorker) after the 1968 election of Richard Nixon.

Ostensibly, her actual quote was (ostensibly)

‘I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don’t know. They’re outside my ken. But sometimes when I’m in a theater I can feel them.’
