Sadly, with the FED using “baskets of substitutable goods” to determine cost of living, it looks like there has been no increases in costs because its believed that goods in the previous year's basket (like hamburger) are passed by for a full substitute (i.e.-dog food).

The legal inflation numbers and the legal unemployment rate are all set or fixed by the government.
Obviously you and I see things differently but tell that to the banks or Social Security.
