I love sour cherries, wish I could ever find them. The Rainier cherries (white and red, not red) are the ONLY cherries with any flavor I ever find in SoCal. The red ones have no taste.
I lived in Zug, Switzerland where delicious cherries grew on every tree. It was such a treat for me. It’s the center where they make kirsch liqueur. One year everyone was so sad because it snowed over the blossoms and they knew it would be a bad cherry year.
