Viewed from an overhead camera in the cathedral’s north vestibule, the robbery unfolds first with Lucille Morinelli scanning a copy of the parish newsletter as she stands at a table.
Then, from a second camera, two assailants pull open the door to St. Cecilia Cathedral and, in moments, are at the 76-year-old victim’s back.
The suspect on the right yanks Morinelli’s purse from her grasp. The man to the left lobs a punch that leaves the victim folded on the floor. Morinelli hit her head on the side of the table as she fell. That was Aug. 16.
Wayman Clark, the 23-year-old man accused by prosecutors of punching Morinelli, pleaded guilty Wednesday to robbery in the case.
Clark faces up to 50 years in prison when he is sentenced on Aug. 3.

I’m glad they caught him, and are trying to convict. This only confirms negative stereotypes of young black males for the rest of society. He’s only what? 23 y/o, and already such a loser, that he slugs an old woman in God’s House.
Like I suspected.
This thug should also be convicted of a very serious assault charge. Lock him up.
It worked fine. Why in the hell would someone hit a 76 year old woman and in a church no less. Drugs perhaps?

Hang both of them and be done.
They valued what little money she may have had over her life. They picked an easy target - real men, eh?
At her age, they could have easily killed her.
Scum they are, but I hate to insult scum, which is not intentionally violent.
And, of course, if they had killed her, they would have felt no remorse whatsoever.
Until they appeared before a judge, when they’d hang their heads and have their lawyers explain how they were really altar boys turned Boy Scouts who somehow, inexplicably, took a wrong turn somewhere.
The number of these stories (similar) that we see is incredible. And the big and small MSM do their best to hide it.
