True story....some of my kin owned a small general store in our very tiny rural community in South Louisiana.
A couple of the kids of the immediate family were into "electronic" stuff (this was back in the early 1970's, and "electronic" was pretty primitive compared to now), and had "wired" the store so they could listen in on the store from home.
Late one night, they heard voices in the store where none should be at that hour. It was obviously a robbery in progress.
Dad (and store owner) gets on the phone and calls a few neighbors. A short time later, the store is surrounded by locals with guns (I should mention that the Dad was a former Marine, with five kids (including the girl), who were armed and could shoot).
At some point the perps became aware of the situation, and THEY called the sheriff to come and get them.....
True dat. I grew up in Baton Rouge and had relatives in Henderson, Morgan City and Houma.
POS’s like the perp in this case would have wound up a gator bait. Ah gah-rone-tee you dat!
