I don’t understand your statement. He refused the draft or to register for selective service, there is no doubt about that. He applied as a conscientious objector and was turned down.

As I recall, the USSC overturned his conviction on draft dodging in 1971 and was then officially listed as a conscientious objector.
I don’t agree with what he did, but it is what it is and can’t be changed.
