The Bushmaster sale sounds OK, and I’d need more info about the pistol sales before I could say they’re bad.
Individuals can’t transfer long guns to a resident of another state. (Depending on state law, FFL dealers can, but not individuals.) Plus, Colorado has a law that residents can’t purchase long guns out of state, so this is a violation of both federal and state law.
If there is a Trump administration, the statute of limitations will not have run out on this crime. Maybe this particular “sleaze” will be made an example.
It’s illegal to transfer a handgun to a non resident of your state whether you are a FFl holder or not. Long guns not so much.
