I have many concerns for our USN but they are internal and stem from the current political leadership.

With good reason.

However, it's my understanding that our anti-submarine capabilities, in particular, have been seriously degraded.

For example, there's nowhere near the number of P-3s prowling the coast.

The last deployment of P-3s on the East Coast occurred last year. The P-3 has been replaced by P-8s and, more importantly, a sophisticated network of underground sensors and spy satellites.
