Why Donald Trump resonates with some Latinos

Not surprising to me at all but it maybe to the left that think minorities belong on their Democrat slave plantations.

Because Latinos are Americans, too.

Latino citizens that are here legally have the same concerns most of us have. They’re concerned about safety, jobs, taxes, national debt, the economy, education, crime, family, moral values, etc.

My wife is an American-born Latina and she is ardent Trump supporter.

I never cared for this whole POC Hispanic community BS, I met many so called Latinos that came here legally, own small businesses and care less of Illegals, hell my Latina GF I had a while ago did not agree with what some of the Democrats were doing, but then again the left keeps trying to put all of us in these ethnic groups and take away our individuality and impose some herd think on us.

Latinos are Americans, too.

YES, they are - and they have the same hopes for our country as every other American. It's the illegals who are the problem NOT Americans who happen to have Hispanic backgrounds.

Those who followed the laws want others to follow the same laws. It’s only racists who assume that decisions should follow from skin color.

I’m a Texan and American of Latino ancestry-and I don’t know anyone of any ethnicity who isn’t going to vote for Trump-but this is a conservative rural area where there isn’t even an organized democrat party, too...

My ancestors have probably been in what is now Texas longer than those of the “surprised” media types-since before 1800-and they had plenty of company here...

As a Bostonian by birth I keep on telling Democrats they can send all the illegal Irish home too. I couldnt care less.

I am an immigrant also. Came legally so you have one up over me - Mexicans are citizens of Mexico. Americans are American citizens no matter the origin. I live by that and die by that.

Bump that. I know a Latino man whose wife's identity was hijacked! Why? because her first and last name are recognizably Latino.

I suspect there is a considerable number of American Hispanics that secretly support Trump but feel unable to state it publicly for fear of being ostracised by friends, family and coworkers. But who the vote for in the election may surprise the establishment.

I don’t get why the dems and the driveby media can’t understand why legal immigrants to this country-or we American born Latinos-would not be voting against a political candidate who wants to allow illegals/mojados to stay and work here when people-like you-who came here legally had to wait so long and jump through so many hoops to do that-it is ridiculous.

I guess they think if someone has a Spanish surname and/or happens to speak Spanish as a second language-which many/most of us do-we must be a democrat voter who wants people to just ignore our immigration laws-they are clueless and likely to remain so...
