I really do not get the popularity of Facebook at all. From what I can tell it’s a glorified telephone party line with the exception that you can share links, videos and photos as well. Oh yes, and it is also a prime stalking ground for pedophiles, scammers, and other crooks. For example I read a few months a family announcing they are vacation and showing photos of themselves on vacation. Oh how brilliant! Needless to say while they were on vacation their house was cleaned out by burglars. You know what it is? We live in the famewhore generation. We have all these people obsessed with celebrity and fame and they want “fans” so they collect them on Facebook without realizing their privacy goes right out the window with it.
There is too much Facebook. I closed my account. I can text photos to relatives. No need to put my business out there for any fool to see. There is a trend among the high school kids to use other formats now. Maybe it will all play a part in driving them under.
