This emphasizes Trump’s point about how our military sometimes has to scrounge up old parts from airplane junkyards.
It is worse than that. Parts are being used that should have been red tagged long ago. They are relying on backups overhauled with the same kind of parts that should have been red tagged. I think they call it value engineering or something like that. Playing the odds with a situaiton that is below standard.
Follow the chain down long enough and you’ll find either affirmative action or money lining pockets as the cause.
