Most of the guys I know who live with their parents still are there because their mothers won’t let them grow up.

The few guys I know in those arrangements are practically caring for their parents at this point (and the siblings that moved out on their own are glad the single ones can do so). I don’t know if I’d be living at home if I hadn’t gotten married, but I would feel no shame about it at all.

A while back someone posted a picture of a group of “awkward-looking” young men playing video games to mock them, and I asked why people were so determined to mess with their obvious happiness/contentment. Unsurprisingly, nobody could/would answer that question.

Maybe their loving mothers know what awaits them...

It is true, many of the mothers are divorced and need a man in the house. The son with the heart will not abandon her in her loneliness and relative helplessness around the house.
