I thought it was Starr who called for the independent investigation of the sexual assault cover-up allegations about a year ago.
What is the NCAA doing about North Carolina?
He did. The demotion was a reaction to the results of the investigation he started. His subsequent firing, oops, resignation, is a result of the media witch hunt for the Clinton special “persecutor”, questioning why he still had a job. He should have, at the very least, retained his position and been commended for launching the investigationin the first place, less than a week after the assailant was adjudicated as guilty. Most programs are forced to launch investigations after being caught by the NCAA.
Well, yes. He called for an investigation after the second football player was charged with rape. Not sure of the timing, but it was also probably after Texas Monthly blew the whole thing wide open last summer.
Well, the independent report was released last week (as was Art Briles).
And it is damning.
Starr’s buck stopped.
