Translation from Mitch: “We’ll see who really controls Washington when you get here. You think you’re gonna change the process? Well, buddy, you’ve got another think coming.”

This interview was very competent on McConnell’s part. He is very good at framing issues favorably to the point he is trying to make. If our choice is to dis him for past actions at this juncture or to be grateful for his present support, I choose the latter. He made his points of disagreement with Trump diplomatically, which may help the party and the downstream.
Katie Couric, on the other hand, was the usual condescending partisan. I expected no better, and she did nothing to earn a better opinion. For instance, she made a point that “Mitch” is not his real name (it’s the nickname of his given middle name, Mitchell) as if that were somehow comparable to having installed his own server in his bathroom for classified info. Good to see Mitch just flicking her concern trolling off his pants leg like a piece of lint.

Maybe.
make your argument why getting back at him would trump his allowing Obama to name a judge who would help create a 5 to 4 ruling destroying the Second Amendment.

Because Mitch has denied the IA his SCOTUS nominee much is forgiven by me but not all. But this step is another one in the right direction.

McConnell is trying to both badmouth Trump and stay out of the trash can if Trump gets elected.

At least he is diplomatic and fairly objective about it, rather than unhinged like many of the so-called conservatives.
