I think Kristol is depending on failure’s like Gary Johnson and Bill Weld to be his dream team. Neither one define the Libertarian Party values and tenets.

The party barely polls 1% nation wide, 2012 was the best year they ever had, they got 1.2 million votes. Realistically they might poll more this year, but not much.

So if this is Bill Kristol’s dream ticket, it is lacking.

Or get less support, since Trump, while not a libertarian does embody some of the goals of the supporters of 3rd party candidates in previous years - repudiating the Uniparty candidates who do promise a lot and do nothing.

And Bill Weld is no libertarian, but he may be Kristol's idea of "a strong independent team".
