Having Trump as an opponent - well, I don't know, most of the liberals I knew wanted Cruz as their opponent, desperate for commercials about how open air memorials were closed to the public while he read bedtime stories to his little girls.

Of course, when I pointed out that it was Obama's administration who ordered those unneeded closures, they quickly moved on to attacking Cruz's Christianity.

Then I asked what they hoped that Hillary would enact as president. They responded with the usual litany of higher minimum wage (and evaded when I asked if they wanted a minimum wage job), helping those suffering from the Obama (err, American) economy, improving race relations (No, she'd do better than a half-black president, really) and then they petered out. (Sorry, ran out of words, shouldn't use a masculine phrase...)

That's the thing, everything they crave, Bernie's been campaigning for. FREE COLLEGE FOR EVERYONE, punish those nasty Wall Street criminals that Hillary gets paid hundreds of thousands to speak to, umm, forgiveness of college loan debt and... umm, higher minimum wages! (no, we really don't want a minimum wage job...)

The most entertaining part is, no one stated the obvious - it's about getting a woman elected president. I don't know if it is just because liberals have moved past gender identity politics (hey, 31 different genders according to NYC, hard to keep up with that...) or if all they see when they look at Hillary is Bill's third term in office.

Of course, therein lies Hillary's second worst Achilles heel, Bill Clinton (for the first, please ask Russia to hand you copies of all her e-mails during her time as Madame Secretary.)

Guys like that are very traditional GOP candidates, and would be helpless human piñatas for Hillary and the liberal media. I for one never take seriously the idea that a particular Republican candidate is "Hillary's worst nightmare." Liberals aren't frightened easily, really hardly at all. They're very confident in their ability to intimidate Republicans, and with good reason. Trump flips the script, at least, and embraces the things they use to intimidate. It's worth a shot.
