If I could afford it, I think a safari to Namibia would be great. I lived in Ethiopia for a short time, so I’ve had the “African experience”, and I’m certain a Namibia could beat Ethiopia by a mile.

Too bad the "Solomonic" Ethiopian imperial family was left-wing and supported the leftist, secularist "civil rights" movements all over the world (probably still do).

What was up with that, huh?

I was in Ethiopia, actually what is called Eritrea now, when Haile Selassie was in power. Now I am assuming the “Solomonic Ethiopian imperial family” was his family tree.

I was not into politics in that era, so I would not have any first hand knowledge as to whether Selassie was left or right. What I believe is he was deposed by socialists (the left), and he allowed US Forces in Ethiopia, so he could not be that far to the left himself. As far as African leaders are concerned, he is probably one of the most notable in the last hundred years or so.
