Who in the world still drives a late 70’s Thunderbird? I can’t remember the last time I saw one.

late 1970s model Ford Thunderbird ?
That’s an accomplishment all by itself. I didn’t think any of those were still operable.

"We're hoping to have all of them replaced by Monday," said Richmond, who has relatives honored by crosses in the park. "But we don't know right now." Tell the perp he's going to prison. If he fixes all the crosses by Monday, he gets to wear clothes in prison.
If he doesn't, he doesn't.

Given the time, a late 70s T-Bird, parts of crosses left in his tires, and the look of the guy in the mug shot, I’d say it’s likely he woke up, looked around and said, “Where da heck is I at?”

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

I can think of two “nabes”. Either they are ‘tweakers’ or do ‘draynk’. Take your pick.

Burrus image is linked to the Miami Herald story in Google image search. You click on the Herald story and his image has been removed from the story for some reason. I am sure this is the guy.

Let the kid spend a couple months in prison with nothing but a jar of Vaseline for clothing.
