Well, here’s how I look at it. Part of this is poetic justice. De Klerk should have NEVER ceded control over to the ANC; the best solution would have been to split the country in half. Whites have their half; Blacks can have the Eastern one. Either that, or equal rights should have been given to all with strict immigration policy.
Relating back to Venezuela look at the corporations Chavez seized or they decided to leave and eventually the economy sinks. The same damn formula everytime but dumb people fall for it and their tyrant leaders live like royalty. Unfortunately we have a mild form of that now here in the USA. Until further notice-—

Western South Africa was a sparsely populated land with only a few thousand hunters across thousands of square miles. The Brits expanded it greatly and nabbed a large percentage of black Africans.
Simply divesting the Eastern half to the blacks and leaving the Western half to the Dutchmen who founded it hundreds of years ago would have been ideal.
