PTSD, mean drunk, or just a bully? I guess he didn’t learn anything about firearms in the army.
The dates sure do make it sound like him. Maybe he was drunk and thinking about buddies he lost fighting rag heads. Pure speculation on my part.
He almost had to be fortified in some way. But it would be up to the coroner to figure out with what.
Important note to those that open carry guns: think of a 360 degree circle around you. If you stand still, from five or ten feet away, your gun can only be seen by someone from *part* of that circle, a given number of degrees. Otherwise it is hidden behind your body.
If a situation is starting to become tense, it is a good idea to angle your body so that your open carry is not immediately seen by the aggressor. And if you draw, even a lot of the draw may not be seen by them either.
Often you will not be the subject of the aggression, so it is also good to move so you are even less obvious to the aggressor, putting you in a much better position if you need to act.
