Very glad you brought up The Time Traveler post from 10 years ago.
The author of the cautionary story was incredibly prescient considering that his work was published in 2006 during a relatively stable political period, ie: B.O. before Obama.
He accurately predicts Islamic, Chinese and Russian geo-political trends and events ten years in the future.
Notable 2006 passages and 2016 onservations:
“If the murders were done under the auspices of Universal Compulsive Jihad, which will be sanctioned by sharia as of *2019 Common Era, all blood money fines are waived.”
(* in 2015, ISIS and Turkish government push for world-wide Calipate, Islamic jhiad campaign spreads rapidly, gaining new territory each year. Additionally, non Muslim European and Americans join ISIS terrorists)
“I give you an Asian world in chaos, a Pacific rim *ruled by China after the vacuum of America’s withdrawal.”
(*2015 Chinese dominates the S. Pacific sea constructing new military island bases, and threatens it’s Asian neighbors. Taiwan submits to “One China” policy)
“*resurgent Russian Empire that has *reclaimed its old dominated republics”
(*in 2006 Russian subs were at their docks rusting away.
Russia successfully invaded Ukraine in 2014 and seized Crimea without any resistance from NATO forces. Sanctions have not affected Russia’s military modernization and effectiveness, ie: Russian success in Syria, and regular aggressive confrontations with our US Navy ships and planes)
“Eurabia and the *New Khalifate is growing, absorbing what was left of the old, *weak cultures there that once dreamt of a *European Union.”
(*ISIS and Turkish gov’t call for global Caliphate in 2015. Millions of Muslim Syrians & Africans have invaded europe, and weak EU gov’t leaders do nothing to punish Islamic terrorists, murderers and rapists. Sweden becomes a rape capital of europe, thanks to Muslim horde invasion. German women are advised by their gov’t to dress modestly and avoid going out at night alone. The EU is collapsing both economically and politically)

Regarding the Constitution and civil liberties - are we better off now in 2016, than ten years ago?
Obola, America’s first muslim-marxist ruler, has inarguably shredded the US Constitution and citizen’s civil rights, as in no other time.
The Department of Justice behaves opposite their namesake.
Few would have imagined we’d be in the sorry state we’re in, ten years ago when this story was written.
