I would love to be defending that case if what is stated in the headline is true.

They did sue and win a settlement; but you can imagine the hell these young women went through. They were shackled and strip-searched for having signs showing aborted fetuses, and the legal mess went on for years. Talk about a "chilling effect on speech" — what a horrific experience of American "justice" for these young girls.

And who was Governor at the time? Martin O'Malley, that good Catholic like his idol from Maryland, Nancy Pelosi. He was actually booed at a Fourth of July parade in the same town where these arrests were made, unrelated to that incident. Maryland Republicans were nauseated when he presumed to run for president.
