I’m convinced that Romney threw the race on purpose.
Now that you mention McCain ‘suspending’ his campaign, it is fairly obvious that he threw his campaign too.
At the very least, neither of them had what it takes to win.
They certainly did not have the fire in the belly.
I also noticed something about Romney-he never really fought back when the Dems brought up his time with Bain Capital.
He knew full well that would be an issue-Kennedy brought up Bain when Romney ran against him.
And of course we all know that Romney’s people with the help of some of McCain’s people viciously attacked Sarah Palin.
